The birthplace of black tea is China. The oldest black tea in the world was invented by a tea farmer in the Yish mountain tea producing area in Fujian Province, China, and named “Lapsang souchong”. It belongs to the category of fully fermented tea, which is made from tea tree buds and leaves and refined through typical processes such as drying, aging, fermentation, and drying.
